another sunday of dread

So I don't seem to have the resources on my computer to make these photos viewable in a proper manner (hard drive crash, no photo program, etc.), so if anyone wants to make these photos right, do so, by all means and edit the post. otherwise, enjoy sideways sending.
props to ezra for leading the charge on sketchy topouts and for picking us up from the train station after snell and i missed the boat, er, train.

Castlehill, New Zealand
I spent four days climbing at Castlehill on the south island of New Zealand. It is by far the most amazing place I have ever bouldered. So surreal. It is impossible for photos to do justice.
Everywhere you look there are boulders with shapes your wildest dreams had never imagined could exist and you get to climb them! The landings are all lush green grass with pretty little wild flowers growing.
Definitely add this area to your lifetime ticklist.

Adelaide, Australia Rules!
I have been in Adelaide for the last three weeks to work on a couple bridge construction projects. Luckily, there is a sick bouldering spot just outside of town called The Bachelor Pad. Bouldering pads cost $350 (!) over here, so the locals just drag up open cell foam and leave it in-situ.
The Bachelor Pad is a cave about 1.5 times as wide and 2 times as tall as the Masterbedroom at the Horseden! It has routes from V0 to V13 (thanks to a visit from Klem). The rock is bullet and seriously steep. It is a 25 minute walk from the nearest 106 city bus stop (including ten minutes walking up a steep dirt trail through the bush). The setting includes blue flowers lining the mouth of the cave and vineyards down on the valley floor. The weather is beautiful and the same 106 bus goes to the beach! It is kind of like utopia.
There are a couple sport and trad climbing cliffs nearby, but I am travelling light: one pair of anisazi's, denture brush, sanwich baggie of chalk (what!), so no sport climbing for me.
My next stop is NZ. Happy Holidays and I can wait to hear back from teh dirty south and wild west boulering crews.

yo dabers.
hello to you all. some of you i know, some of you i think i know, some of you i will meet someday.
i have been reading and looking at this kick ass blog for some time. this is my first contribution
i have been dabing since the first day at rat rock some five years ago. since then i kinda left the bouldering to the strong, and focused on trad and ice. its been swell.
i dig it the most that some of you have been dabing with trad and such.
i can say that i am somewhat responsible for making tuesdays night so popular, by bringing the rican to tha dentists. i still remember the night we met up, and i could not find the place, meanwhille the rican had been walking by the gym everyday on the way to the subway.
its been a sweet ass time with you all. i have met some amazing people there. since then some have moved away, but more have been coming.
i am writing this from brooklyn, my home. on monday iam traveling to the west coast. i bought a one way ticket, i have a 'pig'. iam packing ropes, shoes, cams and nuts, as well as ice axes and crampons, bringing flipflops, and sunblock. the reason for this is..... i have not much of a clue where iam going to go after i arrive in LA. 4 options exist. go north to oregon, go east to colorado, go south to arizona, or go west to hawaii.
it might be some time before i see you all. but the way i see it .. this familly of dabers is going to have another ambasador somewhere else in the world.
make sure you come and visit. so we can KRUSh like we do.
also maybee you guys can help me... ...
i dont know tooo many people out west probaly a dozen or less. iam sure i will meet more.
if any of you know people out there, who would not mind showing me around or letting me crash on their floor. that would be sweet.
i dont make plans to far in advance... i just DO IT.

Hello out there in the Internets!
Heyhey dabbers!
It's been a while since my last post, been busy down south with school and all, not having an internet connection at home has also been a pain in the arse. But I just went all gang-busters on my mid-term lab report for organic, so I'm capitalizing by posting a few pics.
I realized that I have very few shots from the adirondack trip but tooons of video...there may be some difficulties in piecing it all together, but it will happen...someday, haha. I will try and do a quick vid using some older stuff I have floating around. So keep posted for another ghetto vid sometime soon. Hope all is well out there, DAB!
