An Oppurtunity
Okay, so here's the deal, a good climbing bud of mine Groover (arienne cartrette) recently had to take down his climbing wall. He's got around 3000$ of lumber and about the same value of climbing holds. He'll sell it all for 1500$. Anyhow, I'm not saying that we should by the whole, rig, that'd be ridiculous. HOWEVER, he'll sell the holds in smaller batches if desired. I've climbed on his home wall, it was one of the best of climbed on, ANYWHERE. There was an excellent selection of holds as well. Anyhow, Groover will be climbing this weekend in the gunks. Who would be interested in augmenting diesel camps hold/bolt situation for a very good price?

Rumney +
Had three good days of dry climbing in a row. Did some great routes and problems. It was very cold at night and we awoke to frozen tents in the mornings. Flashes, Onsights, Real Redpoints, Pinkpoints, Hangdogs, Sends, Dabs, and Projects! The Cold drained my 3 camera batteries leaving me with just 8 pics and 1 vid. That is why I cannot show you Awesome pictures of Rumney OR Pawtuckaway...
Rains came in and we took off to explore Pawtuckaway's famed spots. All we had was a NE Bouldering guidebook in a ghost town with almost no street signs anywhere. We were dirt-roading all over for a while. With a little help we finally made it to Round Pond where we met some great giants. Wow. Tons of really good, beautiful granite boulders. Some super highballs and everything else inbetween. Unfortunately almost everything was wet and we gleaned what we could. We were mostly happy to find and see this sweet place to which we will return.
DGROM has a bunch of pics he could share with us too...

Exclusive Interview
Johnny Landry
Hot off the presses...an exclusive interview with Johnny Landry. Mr. Landry currently resides in a Ford Econoline parked in front of the Hueco Rock Ranch. He will be in Hueco through April, 2006.
SS: So, Mr. Landry, are you a dabber?
JL: Huh?
SS: I can vouch for you. Once a dabber, always a dabber. You just didn't know that you were a dabber, because you were a dabber before we knew there was such a thing.
JL: Yeah?
SS: So how is the climbing life?
JL: You can't beat it.
SS: I've been thinking about taking some time off and trying to see how many mountians I can climb. The only thing is that I am liking my job right now. I am working on some interesting projects...
JL: I would do it sooner than later.
SS: Where were you staying before you got to Hueco (5 days ago)?
JL: I was in Boulder. I soloed the flat irons. Flat iron #2 was supposed to be 5.2, but we didn't know that you are supposed to go up the right side. We went straight up. It was full-on the whole way.
SS: How hard do you think it was?
JL: 5.9 slab. It was full-on. At one point I was on these loose plates. They could have broken any second.
SS: How far would you have fallen?
JL: Up there? At those plates...probably 500 feet. It was full-on.
SS: I guess it doesn't matter wether you have medical insurance or not when you are looking at a fall like that.
JL: You should come out for a long weekend of bouldering.
SS: I want to. So are you climbing strong right now?
JL: Yeah.
